Generative visual content: AI image and video generation tools including Runway, Stable Diffusion, and Midjourney now produce source material for projection mapping environments that previously required a dedicated motion graphics team working for multiple days. Real-time audience response systems: Computer vision tracks audience movement and feeds that data back into the projection and audio environment. At LUME, we have built systems where the visual environment responds to where guests are concentrating in the room.
Spatial audio adaptation: AI-assisted spatial audio tools model how sound behaves in a specific room geometry and adapt in real time.\

Creative direction is not automatable. Multi-projector calibration requires physical expertise in the specific space. Live production judgment does not scale to AI systems optimizing for pre-set parameters.
AI is genuinely useful today for visual content generation, real-time audience response systems, and spatial audio adaptation. It is not yet capable of replacing creative direction, calibration expertise, or live production judgment. The brands getting the most from AI are using it as a production accelerator, not a production replacement.
