About LUME Studios

LUME Studios is a multi-level immersive event space and full-service creative production studio in NYC's SoHo/TriBeCa corridor. We pioneer projection mapping experiences, turning walls, floors, and ceilings into living canvases — and have been doing it longer than anyone else in New York City.

Founded in 2016 by Dotan Negrin, LUME was built on a creative life lived fully — spanning theater, music, film, live performance, and years of creating for audiences around the world. That deep, varied experience gave Dotan a rare understanding of what makes people stop, feel something, and remember it forever. Learn more at dotannegrin.com

When LUME first opened at 393 Broadway, the space was a raw room with basic equipment and a blank canvas. Over the following years, a growing team of designers, technologists, and creatives dove deep into hands on experimentation, pushing the boundaries of projection mapping, spatial audio, interactive technology, and immersive environment design. No blueprint. No shortcut. Just relentless iteration inside the actual space until the vision became reality.

LUME has always been a champion of the arts, hosting hundreds of art shows and giving independent artists a platform to reach new audiences in the heart of downtown Manhattan.

LUME has never been finished, and that's intentional. Every year brings new upgrades, redesigned spaces, and fresh immersive experiences. What guests walked into in 2016 looks nothing like today. The technology evolves, the spaces are reimagined, and the bar gets raised.
