Any surface. Anywhere in New York.
Projection MappingFacades, windows, objects, and full rooms in New York City
We design the content, program the map, and run the show. At your site or ours. Ten years, 1,700 events, 700 brands.
Most projection companies in New York rent the rig and light the surface. We build the thing being projected. The concept, the animation, the map, and the show that runs on it. Bring us a wall, a window, a facade, or an object.
Who does the work
An in-house team, not a rental desk
Projection goes wrong in the handoffs. An agency sells the idea, a studio somewhere cuts the file, and a crew nobody briefed tries to align it at midnight. We do all of it ourselves. Concept, content, programming, calibration, and the operator sitting at the desk on show night. One team. One number to call.
Creative direction and content, in-house
Concept, art direction, and custom animation cut for your actual surface. Not licensed loops stretched to fit. Our content team has made work for product launches, album releases, gallery installations, and broadcast.
Technical and show programming, in-house
TouchDesigner, Resolume Arena, and Max/MSP, plus real-time generative content. Warp, blend, UV mapping, and calibration on any geometry: flat, curved, sculptural, or several surfaces running on one clock.
AV, rigging, and gear, in-house
Our own projector and audio inventory, and a permanently installed 16-projector system we operate every week. We are not calling a rental house to find out what your surface needs. We already know.
A decade of client relationships
PUMA, Fenty, Roku, Amazon, Adidas, Bombay Sapphire, Don Julio, Coinbase, NBC, and ESPN have all run projection with us. We take the whole build, from the first site visit to the last cue.
Surfaces
What we can map
Projection mapping treats the surface as the display. Tell us what the surface is and we will tell you what it needs.
Building facades and exteriors
Brick, stone, glass, and cast iron, mapped to the real geometry.

Storefront windows and retail
Rear-projected window takeovers that play to the sidewalk after dark.

Lobbies, atriums, and interiors
Permanent or run-of-show mapping, tied into the AV already in the building.

Sculptural objects and product
Mapping onto the thing itself, with proper UV work on curved geometry.

Tabletop and dining
Plate-level projection, cued so the table changes between courses.

Full-room environments
Walls and floor as one canvas, so guests stand inside the world.
Budget and timeline
What it costs, and how long it takes
Nobody in this industry publishes numbers, which makes scoping a projection budget harder than it should be. Here is what actually moves the figure, and how long each kind of build takes, so you can sanity-check a budget before you talk to anyone.
Five variables
- Projector count and brightness. How big the surface is and how much ambient light you are fighting. Outdoors after dark needs far more lumens than a blacked-out room.
- Surface complexity. A flat wall is one map. A facade with ledges, windows, and columns has to be modelled in 3D first.
- Content scope. Adapting brand assets you already own costs a fraction of custom animation built frame by frame for your geometry.
- Run length. A single night, a week-long install, and a permanent lobby piece are three different cost structures.
- Site conditions. Power, rigging, access, permits, security, weather. This is where off-site budgets move most.
Three timelines
- Two weeks. A one-night show on an interior surface using adapted content and a rig we know.
- Four to six weeks. Custom content designed for your surface, indoors, including programming and a calibration day.
- Six to ten weeks. Bespoke off-site builds. Facades, storefronts, object mapping. The schedule includes a site survey, 3D modelling, permits, and a load-in plan.
- Rush is possible. We have turned shows around inside a week. It costs more and it narrows the content options, but it is not a no.
Send us the surface. An address, a photo, a floor plan, or a sketch on a napkin. You will have an itemized quote back within 24 hours.

Projection we have produced

Dopamine
Every wall and the floor mapped as one canvas, with typography and artwork cycling through the night.

Metro Boomin
Comic-panel artwork mapped across the full room, so guests stood inside the album art instead of in front of it.

Espolón Día de Muertos
Custom Calavera visuals, animated so the skeleton artwork on the walls moved through the night.

Tom’s of Maine
A projected forest and waterfall wrapping the walls, the mark thrown onto the floor, and live greenery built into the set.

The Dinner Table
Themed projection running the length of the room, changing with the courses alongside a live cellist and an opera singer.

Hypebeast × Coinbase
A mapped arcade environment wrapping a gallery of physical plinths, so the digital work and the objects shared one space.
Process
How a projection project runs
The same team carries it from the first site visit to the operator at the desk on show night. Nothing gets thrown over a wall halfway through.
Site survey and surface capture
We come to the space, measure it, photograph it, and build a 3D model of the actual geometry. Every ledge, window, column, and curve the content will have to land on.
Scope and feasibility
Projector count, brightness against the ambient light on that block, throw distances, rigging positions, power, permits. You get an itemized quote and an honest read on what the surface will and will not do.
Content designed to the map
Concept and animation cut for your surface and your viewing distance. What reads at three feet across a dinner table and what reads at eighty feet across a facade are different builds.
Programming
Warp, blend, UV mapping, and show programming in TouchDesigner, Resolume, and Max/MSP. Reactive and generative content when the brief calls for it.
Load-in and calibration on site
Rig, align, and calibrate in the actual space, on the actual surface, before anyone walks in. Weather and contingency plans in place for outdoor builds.
Show night and capture
Our operator runs the show live, tied into the lighting and audio. Same-day content capture and delivery if you want it out while the moment is still live.
FAQ
Projection mapping questions
What is projection mapping, and how is it different from a projector on a screen?
Projection mapping treats any surface as the display. Software warps, blends, and calibrates the image so it reads correctly on walls, facades, floors, sculptural objects, or several surfaces at once. A projector on a flat screen is one image on a rectangle. Mapping is spatial.
Do you only work at your own venue?
No. Most of our projection work happens in other spaces. Building exteriors, storefront windows, lobbies, galleries, and objects across New York City. We also run a permanent 16-projector room at 393 Broadway, which is where the team stays sharp between builds.
Can you project onto a building exterior?
Yes. We survey the facade, build a 3D model of the geometry, and scope projector count, brightness, and throw distances against the ambient light on that block. Content is then cut to the model so it lands on the architecture instead of washing over it.
Do we need permits for outdoor projection in NYC?
It depends on the site. Projecting onto a building you control, from a position you control, is usually straightforward. Projecting onto a structure you do not own, or rigging from public property, generally needs permissions and sometimes coordination with the city. We scope this during the survey and handle it, so it does not turn into your problem the week of.
What about ambient light and weather?
Ambient light is the main constraint outdoors, which is why brightness gets scoped to your specific site rather than a generic spec. Street lighting, neighbouring signage, and the time of year all move the number. For weather we build contingency into the plan: rain covers for the rig, a call time for the go or no-go, and a backup date where the schedule allows.
Do you make the content, or do we bring our own?
Both. Our content team builds custom animation for your specific surface, and we can also take content you or your agency already made and prepare it for mapping. Content built for the mapped surface will always read better than content adapted after the fact.
How long does a projection mapping project take?
About two weeks for a one-night interior show using adapted content. Four to six weeks for custom content indoors. Six to ten weeks for bespoke off-site builds, where the schedule includes a site survey, 3D modelling, and permits. Faster is possible at a premium.
How much does projection mapping cost in NYC?
It scales with projector count and brightness, surface complexity, content scope, run length, and site conditions. A single interior night has a very different floor than a multi-day facade install. Send us the surface, whether that is an address, a photo, or a floor plan, and you will have an itemized quote back within 24 hours.
