A SoHo / TriBeCa photo studio rental for editorial, commercial, and lifestyle productions.
Book the Studio →A photo studio rental is a logistics problem disguised as a creative decision. Editorial teams, commercial photographers, and brand creative directors care about the backdrop, the lighting, and the look of the final frames. But what makes the shoot day actually work is the operational infrastructure: hair and makeup space that doesn't double as a hallway, craft services that don't require running to the deli, loading dock access for gear and talent, and a layout that lets multiple looks shoot in parallel without crowding.
The studios that get repeat bookings handle both the creative and the logistics. The backdrop is customizable enough that one shoot day can produce variety (multiple looks, multiple environments, multiple moods) without booking multiple studios. The lighting is engineered for cameras out of the gate, so crews aren't fighting the room. And the green room and styling areas are real spaces, not afterthoughts. The studios that don't get rebooked produce technically fine images but cost crews two extra hours per shoot day in workarounds.
LUME Studios is the NYC photo studio rental editorial teams, commercial photographers, and brand creative directors choose for both technical infrastructure and visual interest. Located at 393 Broadway in SoHo and TriBeCa, our space combines a 2,400 square foot main floor, 360° customizable projection backdrops, permanent full-color spotlights, full hair and makeup setup in LOFT 4, and craft services kitchen. Everything from white-box neutral shoots to fully immersive branded photography setups in one location. We've hosted shoots for Apple, Amazon, Patrick Ta Beauty, TRESemmé, and Adidas.

LOFT 4 is your hair, makeup, wardrobe, and styling space. Full creative prep environment with kitchen for catering, large styling areas, and full talent green room functionality.

LOFT 2 is your second-look photo location. Editorial portraits with a residential / cast iron loft aesthetic. Natural-feeling environment for product lifestyle shots, lookbook photography, and intimate brand portraits.
The Immersive Studio gives you a full white-box space with 360° customizable backdrops. Editorial fashion, commercial product, beauty campaigns, music artist portraits. LOFT 2 gives you a SoHo cast iron loft aesthetic for lifestyle and brand portraits with a more residential, lived-in feel. Photographers choose between the two depending on the brief, and most shoots use both across a single day for variety.
Most NYC photo studio rentals are just a room. We're a real production environment. LOFT 4 is your full hair and makeup setup with mirrors, lighting, and styling space. The kitchen handles craft services without a separate vendor. Wardrobe racks, styling areas, and talent green room all in one space. Crews don't waste shoot day running to the deli for coffee. It's built into the rental. See past photo productions, or book a walkthrough.
