Panel discussion at LUME Studios with immersive backdrop

Upfronts week dinners are where the deals actually happen. The presentation at Radio City or the Javits Center sets the pitch. The dinner that follows closes it. Media companies and streaming platforms that understand this have moved away from restaurant private rooms toward venues where the environment itself makes the case: where the content can play at scale, the conversation stays private, and the production feels like an extension of the brand.

‍

LUME Studios is the NYC advertiser dinner venue media companies, streaming platforms, and digital publishers use for partnership dinners, content showcases, and Upfronts season events. 393 Broadway in SoHo and Tribeca, four minutes from Midtown by car and a world away in terms of atmosphere. 360° projection mapping lets the content run across every wall of the room, so the show reel is not a PowerPoint on a screen, it is the environment guests are sitting inside. LOFT 4 seats 40 for an intimate leadership dinner with a full Michelin-caliber kitchen. The Immersive Studio hosts content preview dinners for 60 seated with production-grade AV. Same-day content capture means the dinner produces marketing assets before the season is over. Advertiser dinners here for Amazon, Roku, Dropbox, JetBlue, and Bai.

How It Works

What to expect

The room makes the pitch

Media company partnership dinners at LUME are built around a single principle: the room is part of the presentation. The 360° projection system means a show reel does not play on a screen in the corner. It plays across every wall, floor-to-ceiling, surrounding the room. An Amazon Prime Video showcase plays trailer clips at scale while buyers eat. A streaming platform's brand identity wraps the entire room before guests sit down. A content slate reveals over dinner in a fully immersive branded environment that makes a portfolio feel like a world, not a deck. The production that convinces a CMO to commit to a content partnership starts before the entree arrives.

Intimate formats for the conversations that matter

Most Upfronts dinners happen in one of two places: a restaurant private room where the conversation leaks through the walls, or a hotel ballroom that looks like every other hotel ballroom. LOFT 4 at LUME seats 40 around a single table in a refined SoHo cast iron loft with its own floor, its own entrance flow, and a Michelin-caliber kitchen producing the meal in the room. The conversation stays in the room. The food matches the company's position. And the 360° immersive walls let the content play at intimate scale without a projector on a screen. For larger partnership dinners up to 60, the Immersive Studio runs the same format with full production.

Built for the Upfronts calendar

Upfronts week in May is three days. Partnership dinner slots fill up months in advance. LUME works with media company event teams and brand experience agencies on Upfronts programming from January through April so the venue, the content environment, the kitchen, and the AV are all locked before the season starts. The same format works year-round: Q4 scatter market dinners, NewFronts season events, CES follow-up programming, and the advertiser relationship dinners that happen between the big shows. “I booked my birthday party at LUME Studios and had a great time, as did everyone who came! While everything went perfectly, the highlight was the immersive visuals, which kept the energy up throughout the night. I've also been to a few pop-ups here and they always look incredible - each one is so unique, you couldn't tell it was the same venue. Would definitely book again at LUME in the future!”

“I held my wedding reception here back in August 2019… the staff was absolutely incredible, and I still sing their praises to this day. We planned everything ourselves, so as you would expect, we were very stressed, but LUME… made everything so easy for us. The most important part was how KIND everyone was… Our reception was truly the highlight of our whole wedding week.”

“We hosted the launch of RG House at LUME Studios, and I couldn't recommend the team more highly… The space itself is unlike anything else in NYC. The immersive technology, production quality, and flexibility gave us the ability to create an experience our guests are still talking about. But what stood out even more was the people behind it… It's rare to find a venue with both world-class production and a team that cares this much.”

Frequently asked questions

What makes LUME different from a restaurant private room for an advertiser dinner?

The 360° projection system. A restaurant private room gives you a nice room. LUME gives you a room where the media company's content surrounds every guest at the table. Show reels, brand narratives, content slate reveals, and immersive branded environments run across every wall. The dinner becomes part of the presentation.

How many guests can you host for an Upfronts dinner?

Up to 40 in LOFT 4's intimate private dining format, which seats guests in a refined SoHo cast iron loft. Up to 60 seated in the Immersive Studio for larger partnership dinners with full 360° content surrounding the room.

Do you handle AV and content production for the dinner?

Yes. The in-house production team builds the custom 360° content environment for the dinner, handles AV setup and testing, multi-camera capture of the event, and same-day content delivery for the media company's social and PR use.

When should we book for Upfronts week?

Upfronts dinners in May book out well in advance, often by January or February. If you're planning an Upfronts dinner or partnership event for 2027, reach out now. Year-round advertiser and partnership dinners are available on shorter lead times.

Is the venue discreet for high-profile media dinners?

Yes. LUME has a private entrance and back-of-house flow for talent and executive arrivals. Security arrangements can be made through our operations team. The marquee can be set to the company's branding or left neutral.
