Panel discussion at LUME Studios with immersive backdrop

A panel discussion is content production with an audience attached. The panel itself is the deliverable, but the venue decides whether the panel looks like a professional production or a hotel ballroom. The right venue captures the panel at editorial quality, makes the audience feel like part of the production, and delivers content that runs across the company's channels for months after.

LUME Studios is a panel discussion venue at 393 Broadway in SoHo and Tribeca, built around production-grade capture and a backdrop that signals the panel's seriousness. Stage setup in the Immersive Studio with 360° projection backdrops that adapt to the panel's brand. Multi-camera capture, professional audio, RGB Astera spotlights with camera-ready lighting, and same-day content delivery. Capacity from 50 in LOFT 2 for intimate editor and press panels to 200 standing for keynote-style industry events. Past panel hosts include Amazon, Dropbox, Roku, and JetBlue.

How It Works

What to expect

What a LUME panel discussion looks like on camera

Three or four panelists on a low platform stage. Audience in theater-style seating. Projection backdrop behind the panel that runs the company's branding or the topic's visual identity, custom-designed before the event. Wireless lavalier mics on every panelist, audience Q&A mic on a stand. Multi-camera capture: wide shot of the full panel, tight shots on each speaker. RGB Astera spotlights with camera-ready lighting means panels here look like network TV, not webcam recordings. By the next morning, the panel has clip-ready footage for social, the full session for archive, and edited highlights for the next round of press.

The immersive walls turn a panel into content

The standard panel discussion is four people on bar stools in front of a step-and-repeat. LUME does something different. Project speakers' bios live on the walls behind them. Display real-time audience questions on a side wall during Q&A. Show data visualizations behind a numbers-driven panel. Brand the entire environment to match your event sponsor. The walls work for the panel, not against it.

The panel as content engine

Most panels live and die in 90 minutes. LUME's panel production keeps producing. Live streaming to YouTube, LinkedIn, or your custom platform. Same-day delivery of full session recording and clip-ready highlights. Edited footage for social, press, and internal use within 48 hours. The panel produces three weeks of content from one night of work. See past panel events or book a walkthrough.
