What kinds of wellness events work at LUME?
Sound baths, breathwork sessions, meditation events, yoga workshops and retreats, breath and movement classes, wellness brand activations, corporate wellness days, retreat-style multi-hour programs, panel discussions on wellness topics, and product launches for wellness brands. The space is designed for events where the room is part of the experience.
How is LUME different from a yoga studio?
A yoga studio is built for recurring classes with the same instructor and the same physical layout. LUME is built for one-off experiential events where production matters. The 17-speaker spatial audio system, ambient projection walls, and architectural character of the space turn a wellness event into an experience attendees photograph and share. Wellness instructors and brands use LUME for the events they want people to remember and post about.
What's the capacity?
Yoga and movement events: 60-100 attendees on the main floor. Sound baths: 30-80 attendees in a circular layout, or 100+ in a row layout. Breathwork and meditation: 40-120 depending on configuration. Brand wellness days: up to 200 with breakout rooms across the three floors.
Can the lighting and visuals match the wellness experience?
Yes. RGB Astera spotlights for warm tones, ambient color washes for sunset and dawn aesthetics, and 360° projection mapping that can run nature imagery, abstract visuals, or branded environments. Lighting and visuals can be programmed to shift through the arc of a sound bath, breath session, or yoga class.
Do you have flooring suitable for yoga and movement?
Yes. The main floor surface works for yoga, breathwork, and seated meditation. Mats can be supplied through wellness operator partners, or attendees can bring their own. The Immersive Studio's floor is camera-ready and clean.
Can brand wellness activations include catering?
Yes. LOFT 4 has a chef's kitchen used for catered wellness meals, juice bars, and post-event hospitality. Wellness brands often pair the event with food programming (functional nutrition, longevity dining, plant-forward menus) to extend the experience.
How does LUME compare to typical wellness event venues?
Most NYC wellness venues are either yoga studios (small, neutral) or hotel ballrooms (large, generic). LUME is purpose-built for experiential wellness with audio, visual, and architectural infrastructure that elevates the practice. See book a walkthrough to feel the space.
