The same room has to support a lecture format, then small group work, then a full-room debrief. AV needs to be facilitator-friendly, not just functional. And the catering can't kill the afternoon energy.
LUME Studios is a workshop venue at 393 Broadway in SoHo and Tribeca built around exactly that flexibility. The Immersive Studio reconfigures from theater-style to group-table layout in 20 minutes. LOFT 2 hosts dedicated breakout sessions for smaller cohorts. LOFT 4's full kitchen runs a working lunch service that doesn't put the room to sleep at 2 PM.

How It Works
Morning kickoff in the Immersive Studio: theater-style seating, projection on every wall for the opening framework. Mid-morning breakouts split across three floors: small groups in LOFT 2, paired work in LOFT 4, larger pods back in the studio. Working lunch served in LOFT 4 without breaking the flow. Afternoon group exercises and full-room debrief. Day closes with a content capture deliverable for the program's internal documentation.
Patrick Ta ran a beauty masterclass in our Immersive Studio where guests followed a live video feed of his technique projected wall-to-wall. Cooking workshops in LOFT 4's full kitchen become collaborative. Design sprints get reference material projected across the walls so teams work without crowding around laptops. The standard workshop format is a presenter at the front of a fluorescent room. LUME turns it into something guests actually want to attend.

LOFT 2 is a flexible second floor loft for groups up to 60. It comes with a large wall projections, high speed Wi-Fi, and a kitchenette, with layouts that move easily between conference, classroom, and workshop setups.
Use it on its own for lunch meetings, catered presentations, and workshops, or as a breakout room, green room, or VIP space alongside a larger event downstairs.
