A flexible Tribeca workshop venue with reconfigurable seating, AV-ready instruction setup, and breakout space.
Plan Your Workshop →A workshop is half curriculum, half room. The wrong room kills engagement before the first exercise. A standard hotel ballroom has the wrong proportions, terrible acoustics, and zero visual interest, so participants check out 30 minutes in. A coworking conference room is too small for breakouts and too sterile for hands-on activity. The right workshop space gives you reconfigurable seating, breakout zones, AV that's invisible until you need it, and an environment that signals to participants this isn't a regular Tuesday.
The format that works best for most workshops blends keynote-style instruction with small-group hands-on segments. The keynote section needs sightlines, sound, and a backdrop worth referencing. The hands-on section needs flexible furniture that reconfigures fast, table space for materials, and a setting where pairs and small teams can collaborate without crowding around laptops. The closing section needs the group back together with everyone's outputs visible. A workshop space that handles all three transitions cleanly is what facilitators actually need.
LUME Studios is the NYC workshop venue facilitators, trainers, and brand teams trust for hands-on sessions, masterclasses, design sprints, and educational events. Workshops we've hosted include Patrick Ta Beauty masterclasses, brand strategy intensives, design sprints, sales training, and product team offsites. Group sizes work from 20 (intimate, hands-on) up to 100 (larger keynote-with-breakout format). The Immersive Studio handles the keynote section. LOFT 2 handles working sessions. LOFT 4 handles meals and the intimate closing.

For larger workshops or masterclasses with 50–100 attendees, the Immersive Studio gives you keynote presence plus the ability to project demos, references, and exercises across 360° walls. Reconfigure to classroom, theater, or roundtable format depending on the curriculum. Used recently for a Patrick Ta Beauty masterclass where the live tutorial was projected wall-to-wall while attendees followed along with products in hand.

LOFT 4 hosts intimate workshops up to 35, ideal for cooking masterclasses (full kitchen included), beauty masterclasses, design sprints, and refined educational experiences with food service.

LOFT 2 is your primary workshop room for groups of 20 to 50 with hands-on activity. Workshop seating with tables, breakout-friendly layout, kitchenette for breaks, large 4K display for instruction. Easy to break a group into pairs or small teams without rearranging the whole space.
A 4 to 8-hour workshop with opening keynote, two to three working sessions, breaks, and a closing share-back. Morning starts in the Immersive Studio with the keynote (slides, video references, demos all projected at scale). Mid-morning, the group breaks into LOFT 2 for the first hands-on session. Lunch is catered and served in LOFT 4 or boxed for the working room. Afternoon alternates between full-group instruction and small-group work. The closing share-back returns to the Immersive Studio with everyone's outputs projected on the walls. We handle reset, AV, and catering between transitions.
The standard workshop format is a presenter at the front of a fluorescent room. We turn it into something guests want to attend. Patrick Ta ran a beauty masterclass in our Immersive Studio where guests followed a live video feed of his technique projected wall-to-wall. Cooking workshops in LOFT 4's full kitchen become collaborative. Design sprints get reference material projected across the walls so teams work without crowding around laptops.
Classroom-style for 60 people. U-shape for facilitated discussion. Pods of four for collaborative breakouts. Full demo setups for hands-on instruction. We set the room to your specification before doors open. You walk in, your gear is staged, your facilitator audio is tested, and you focus on running the workshop.
